The German company Meggle is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of pharmacopoeial lactose monohydrate and lactose-based blends for the pharmaceutical industry, compliant with Ph. Eur. / USP-NF / JP standards.
The lactose offered by Meggle fully meets the requirements of the Ukrainian OST 49 63-85 and amendment No. 1 (1989). Under the section “Microbiological Purity,” Meggle’s products significantly exceed the regulated parameters specified in OST 49 63-85.
Meggle products have gained well-deserved popularity and recognition among Ukrainian manufacturers. Over more than 25 years of cooperation, virtually every pharmaceutical producer in Ukraine has used Meggle excipients in wet granulation, capsule production, sachet manufacturing, and inhalation dosage forms.

- StarLac (StarLac) — 85% alpha-lactose monohydrate and 15% white corn starch.
- CombiLac (CombiLac) — 70% alpha-lactose monohydrate, 20% microcrystalline cellulose (MCC), and 10% native white corn starch, each compliant with Ph. Eur., USP-NF, and JP pharmacopoeial standards.

Lactose for prolonged release:
RetaLac (RetaLac) — a filler containing equal parts of hypromellose (type 2208, also known as “K-type”) with a nominal viscosity of 4000 mPa·s, combined with milled alpha-lactose monohydrate, both of pharmaceutical grade. Used for direct compression tableting, multiblocks, and mini-tablets.
