Targeted Synthesis of Organic Compounds
One of the key activities of the Scientific and Technological Laboratory for the Synthesis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (STL API) is the targeted synthesis of organic compounds.
The substances obtained during this work are used as reference standards and impurity marker compounds in APIs. As a result, the company can control the quality of both its own manufactured substances and externally sourced active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) used as raw materials.
For synthesized compounds, the identification process involves a comprehensive set of analytical methods, including NMR and IR spectrometry, UV spectrophotometry, thin-layer chromatography (TLC), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
If necessary, additional analyses are performed, such as X-ray phase analysis, thermogravimetric (derivatographic) analysis, and other specialized studies.
The STL API has successfully synthesized organic reference substances for APIs such as ibuprofen, sildenafil citrate, analgin, paracetamol, and ascorbic acid, as well as impurity reference standards for active pharmaceutical ingredients including Gidazepam, Amixin, Phenazepam, and others.
